RULES
Generally
at Baccarat they use 6 or 8 card-packs.
How
to play
Each player has in front of him two small boxes. One
of these receives the bet of the player (Better)
the second one, having the inscription "bank" on
it, receives the bets on the Bank. It is also possible
to bet, in a particular section, on the parity (égalitè).
The
player has got only to decisions to make, before
the croupier deal out cards:
1 To choose
in which position he likes to bet;
2 To decide
the amount of the bet (obviously respecting limits the
table provides).
The
croupier extracts 4 hidden cards: the first and
the third are for the player, the second and the fourth
are for the Bank.
Cards have got their face values:
court-cards and 10 are worth 0.
The
aim in Baccarat is to reach 9 points, which will
allow the player to win the hand, or to approach as
much as he can this score.
The
score of the hand comes from the sum of cards, and
if this sum goes over 10, the player has to take off
10 every time he can. For example, if the player cards
are 4 and 8, the total will be 12, as a consequence
the sum will be 2.
The
sum may always vary from 0 up to 9.
The croupier could deal out a third card to both
player and Bank.
Scores of 8 and 9 (natural) coming from the first
two cards, give the right to beat to both the better
and the banker. This means they both can stop, avoiding
the opponent te chance to receive the card.
The first acting is the better. He can decide to throw,
or not, the third card, according to his score.
Player's
actions

Bank's
actions
The Bank can overwork two different behaviours, accroding
to the Player's action (If he had or not taken the card).

Winnigs
Player and Banker scores are compared. The higher one
wins. Winning bets, put on the Players, are worth1:1,
the ones put on the Banker are worth 19:20 (the same
sum, excepting a 5% for commissions), bets on tie (ègalitè)
are usualy worth 8:1.
Notice:
in case of "ègalitè", all bets put on both "Player"
and "Banker" come back to the player.
In
some Casinò, however, the croupier deals out hidden
cards, and one of the players, usually the stronger
better, takes these cards on the hands and ask or not
for nother one, ALWAYS conforming to the above rules.
